200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Syllabus:
At Sharada Yoga Peeth, Rishikesh while participating in 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will get the following syllabus over the course of four weeks. This syllabus will help you to understand the key concepts and practices of Yoga. The following topics will be covered in the 200 Hour Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh-
- Asana – Asanas or yogic postures are the major part of the daily schedule in the 200 hour Yoga teacher training course. Practitioners will study various asanas, benefits of each posture, modifications, contradictions, and techniques while teaching the postures. These asanas will be taught in a systematic manner, with difficulty rising at each level. After mastering the basics, asana flows, and aspects of breath and awareness will be taught.
- Shatkarma – Shatkarma is the cleansing techniques that are practiced in conjunction with asanas in the morning. Shatkarma helps in purifying nervous system from toxins and enhance the easy flow of breadth to all parts of the body. Since Shatkarma involves expelling toxins from the body, therefore Shatkarma helps in cleansing it.
- Pranayama – Pranayama is breathing techniques that form a major part of Yoga practice. In Yogashala of Sri Ganga Yoga Rishikesh, you will learn how to lengthen your breath, incorporate breathing into postures, and the importance of breath for our body.
- Chanting and Meditation – In this class, you will learn a wide range of mediation and chanting techniques that helps to build concentration, focus, and harmony in daily practices. This includes Chanting Om, Chakra, Candlelight meditation, Gayatri Mantra and many more. How proficient you will become in these techniques will tell how good yoga teacher you will be in future.
- Yoga Anatomy – In this yoga teacher training course, you will also be taught the relevant anatomy and physiology. This helps in strengthening classroom lessons, cues, and asana corrections. In this, you will cover various aspects of yoga and its effects on various body parts and systems, effects of kriya, pranayama, asanas, the anatomy of chakras, Nadis and others subjects.
- Yoga Philosophy – This class is focused on introducing practitioners to the basic concepts and philosophy of yoga. Students are also given a brief introduction to the history of yoga as well as traditional philosophies and viewpoints on yoga. Philosophy lesson will also cover insights from modern researchers and how to integrate the holistic life-view into a modern lifestyle.
300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Syllabus:
All students are welcomed to the Sharada Yoga Peeth, Rishikesh 300 hour teacher training in India course. The following topics will be covered in the Syllabus of this course –
- Yoga Therapy – Yoga asanas have been helpful in treating various health disorders and diseases. In Yoga Therapy class, students will be provided with an introduction to anatomy and pathology of common health issues and the role of diet, asana, and pranayama on improving these disorders.
- Asana – Since Asana is the main part of Yoga, in 300 Hour course too will practice asana, though the daily time may be less than the 200-hour Asana classes are held in both morning and evening. Morning lessons are related to Yoga therapy whereas evening asana is for providing a class model to the students. From the third week, you will begin practicing Ashtanga Yoga sequence.
- Anatomy – Anatomy class focus on teaching students anatomy relevant to yoga so that they can have a clear understanding of classroom explanations, cues and asana corrections. The effects of yoga on the skeletal system, digestive system, nervous system and other body functions will be discussed in brief.
- Philosophy – In the philosophy class, students will be introduced to the history and traditional aspects of yoga, its developments and modern day’s insights and viewpoints on yoga. You will also be introduced to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Ashtanga Yoga, Andreas, koshas, pranas and chakra systems.
- Pranayama, Yogic Breathing, Yoga Nidra & Chanting – These techniques will help you open the energy spots of your body. It will help you improve concentration and you will be able to focus better on the task at hand. The motive of this class is for to master these skills so that you can later teach them to your students.
